Background:  Michael Jose Burns is currently semi-retired from retail management. He has earned an Associate's Degree in Arts, and Science, from Kankakee Community College in Kankakee, Illinois. Michael also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Management, from Lewis University, in Romeoville Illinois. While attending Lewis University He was elected the Vice President of the Student Government during his final year of school.

Michael has spent much of his adult life in service to others. He joined the Kankakee Lions Club, where he rose from Tail Twister to President. He Chaired the Candy Day fund raising drive, and achieved an award for improved donations collections. While still with the Lions Club was asked to be Zone Chairman. Michael has assisted Dr. Jojo Sayson with the annual Halloween visits to local hospitals, and care facilities for those with special needs. By coordinating with the facilities to seek permission to visit those places.  He has also helped coordinate the acquation of gifts to those we visited.

Specialty:  Michael enjoys coordinating activities, and excursions. He knows the importance of having a plan in place, while allowing for unforeseen variables that may arise. He also is able to think outside the box. Being able to repurpose materials available to fit the mission at hand.

Philosophy:  Live your Faith, give without hope of recompense, compassion to all who are weak, and misguided, grow without tearing anyone down, when in bad situations let it be your hand that is last to reach out for assistance.
