Janette F. Basilio

Background: Janette was born and raised in the Municipality of La Trinidad, Benguet in Northern Luzon, Philippines, known for its strawberry plantations earning the title "Strawberry Fields of the Philippines." She was orphaned at the age of 9 and was the youngest of 3 siblings. She is a solo parent and regarded as an "Ate (elder sister)" by most of her co-workers because of her open-mindedness, patience and helpful advice when approached with their problems. She is also known for being compassionate, helpful, soft-spoken, optimistic and consistent. She never fears new challenges and is always open to learning new skills and knowledge. Janette has been in the Business Process Outsourcing industry for about 10 years now and currently working as a Team Leader (Supervisor) with one of the BPO companies situated in Cavite. Aside from managing and supervising a group of 15 business associates, she is also assigned as one of the POCs for engagement (fun committee) in their department, ensuring that the employees are provided with enough activities monthly that can allow them to have fun while working hard. She has been a former Executive Secretary of an NGO accredited by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in 2011- 2012 and was appointed as Vice President for Administration of the second NGO she joined in 2017 to 2018. These two organizations she previously joined helped her get exposure in community activities which was focused on crime prevention, collaboration with the PNP and leaders of community, and charitable endeavors. With her second NGO affiliation, Janette has been tasked in securing and sending information about drug-related activities to PDEA and the PNP. To this day, she is still extending her help in educating and empowering the people around her and in her work place to stay away from illegal drugs and maintain wellness in all areas of their lives. She also occasionally helps in procuring & providing needed funds or activities to support other organizations when needed. Janette is now assigned to be a member of the editorial staff of Project Michelangelo Foundation’s Angel Rising Magazine.
