Dawn RandolphDawn Randolph

Location: Bourbonnais, Illinois, U.S.A.

Profession/Background: I am currently living in Bourbonnais, IL with my wonderful husband, Doug Randolph, and our two dogs, Dubs (a beagle) and Dolce (a yellow lab). I am a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I am employed by FutureCeuticals, a dietary supplement company, in Momence, IL, and I am a QC chemist responsible for analytical testing on our products. I am an avid reader of fiction novels, mostly crime, mystery, historical fiction, and some science fiction. I have discovered that a great book can take you to another place, another world, or another life, and its impact on your life lasts long after you turn the last page. I love traveling with my husband, both domestically and internationally, and I love to experience the food and culture of different places. I love craft projects and building projects, and I can usually recruit my husband to join in on these building projects! I officially began my involvement with Project Michelangelo in October 2015 as the superhero "Black Widow." However, I had an opportunity to witness the good things Project Michelangelo does for children through my husband, Doug, also known as Captain America.

Specialties: children's education, storytelling, visiting children as a superhero.

Philosophy in Life: As I entered into adulthood, one simple word has been interwoven in my life: Hope. During times of struggle in my life, the hope that tomorrow would be better was what kept me going. No matter what, there is always hope.

You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend. - Paul Sweeney

When the world says "Give Up", Hope whispers, "Try one more time." - Author Unknown
