Profession: Currently works as an anesthesiologist at Manila Doctor’s Hospital, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, UP-PGH, Premier Hospital in Baler, Aurora, and My Health Clinic, Festival Mall in Muntinlupa.

Education/Training/Service: With an ultimate goal of selflessly helping her countrymen as a doctor, Dr. Consuelo started her dream by taking up her premedical course (BS Biology) at the University of the Philippines, Manila. She then got accepted as a city scholar at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (Univ. of the City of Manila) for her Medicine proper post-graduate education.

After graduating from medical school, unlike majority of her classmates, she opted to pursue Alternative Residency in Community Medicine – Community Medicine Development Foundation from 1991 to 1993. She served the people of Iligan City as a volunteer community physician from 1992-1993. In 1993-1994, she became an assistant training coordinator for Kalusugan Lingkod sa Aurora and for the next eight years, was positioned to head the facility as the program director.

In 1999, she furthered her training and finished her Masters in Public Health at the UP (University of the Philippines), Manila. Several years later, she took up Program for Developmental Management at Asian Institute of Management in 2007. In 2008, she decided to become a specialist , pursued another training at UP-Philippine General Hospital. She finished her Anesthesiology residency in 2010 with flying colors, topping the Philippine Anesthesia Specialty boards thereafter.

Specialty: dancing, swimming, hiking, biking, running, volunteerism

Philosophy in Life: If life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade…and try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party!
